I want to allow all visitors to upload photos, but now they can only select the photo and add a description. I'd like them to also leave their name, so I know who uploaded which photo. How do I add an extra input field for this?

I'm looking to have NextGEN Public Uploader work with NextGEN Custom Fields in the next release. This will allow you to add as many input fields as you'd like. Stay tuned!

Adding a tag field and maybe a multiple choice for the Gallery ID would be nice too…

It would be great if you could enhance your gallery that users of the plugin could easliy manage to add their own fields.
We are arranging a monthly photo competition at http://blog.fotoquip.de/fotowe…..-juni.html
Each user submits camera data and the picture, actually this is handled via two separated form and two separated submid buttons.
This is very unlucky solution and very uncomfortable for the user, many users only submit their data, but not their pictures…
Is there an actual solution for our problem without editing the php code and therefore to conserve the posibility to upgrade the nextgen-public-uploader anytime?
Thank you very much for your quick answer!
