NextGen Uploader stopped working after WordPress 2.8.5

admin	I'm currently running WordPress v2.8.5, NextGen Gallery v1.3.6 and NextGen Uploader v1.3. After the upgrade to WordPress v.2.8.5, NextGen Uploader no longer shows the upload form. I know that the short tag is still being processed because when I'm not logged in, the “You are not logged in.” message is displayed in place of NextGen Uploader's upload form. No error messages are returned. The form simply isn't displayed. I've tried de/re-activating NextGen Gallery and NextGen Uploader and flushing cache and relogging but to no avail. I'm fairly certain it's not a plug-in conflict because NextGen Uploader was working quite well with my current plug-in set-up and I had not made any changes before NextGen Uploader stopped working. It seems the upgrade to WordPress v2.8.5 has borked things up. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! Mike

admin	I'll look into this asap. Not sure what changes in 2.8.5 would have caused this. Thanks for submitting the bug. -Scott

admin	Actually it seems it has something to do with minimum role for showing up…. Default plugin role setting is “visitor”…which does not allow the upload form to show up….minimum plugin setting (or WP tolerance to upload ?…) should be “Subscriber” apparently for the form to show up !…..the “subscriber role” DOES WORK for me… ….to be continued….<img title=”Confused” src=”/wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-confused.gif” alt=”Confused” />

admin	all of the above means you MUST allow to those willing to upload, upon subscription to your Blog, at the very least, the minimum role required by NPU plugin settings, of course !

admin	Thanks for the report. I'll make a post letting users now “Visitor” role isn't working after 2.8.5. This will be fixed in the next update. -Scott

admin	<hr /> Hi, I'm experiencing similar problems…. or worst. Installed on WP 2.8.5 and the newest NextGen. The widget shows and looks fine… but nothing happens. The configured messages don't show, no picture is uploaded and no e-mail gets sent. It just doesn't do anything. http://pd-resort-kohtao.com/ Thanks for looking into it.

admin	I second George 2.8.5 fresh install The widget shows and looks fine… but nothing happens. Hoping for a quick solution to a great addon to the gallery!
